As a Telescopic Driver, your main duties would include:

  • Operating the machinery in a safe manner
  • Loading and unloading materials
  • Transporting materials around site.
Hours

The average hours for a Telescopic Driver are between 38 and 42 per week.

Typical Hourly Rate

The average hourly rate would be between £19-£22 per hour.

Required Qualifications

There are many different licences that would be accepted for this machine on a construction site.

The most common request is for the CPCS licence. Other licences that may be accepted are:

  • CITB (Construction Industry Training Board)
  • National Plant Operators Registration Scheme Ltd
  • RTITB (Road Transport Industry Training Board)
  • ITSSAR (Independent Training Standards Scheme and Register
  • CPCS (Construction Plant Competence Scheme)
